Forum Post: Don't trust Obama/Democrats or a lot of union leadership

While an individual legislator may be O.K., generally (and particularly the leadership, including Obama) they are just as much servants of Wall Street and corporations as the Republicans (just with some "leftish" rhetoric when they need the support of their base). Remember it was Bill Clinton who pushed for and signed NAFTA and financial deregulation (repealed Glass-Steagal). Obama hasn't been any different. Union LEADERSHIP are usually closely allied with the Democratic Party and many times have collaborated with big corporations in reducing their members wages and benefits.
