Forum Post: Does anyone know what the donations to OWS go to or how they're used?

I was just wondering because I just read something that says the so called leaders of OWS walked off with over $500,000. I'm not saying I believe that, but is it explained anywhere exactly what the money is used for, you know, transparency?
Here is a link from The NYCGA Finance (Accounting) working group with a listing of what has been spent and for what..... I understand this is not a complete accounting as they are still chasing some receipts etc..

Does it matter? Answer: no. People who donate, including me, want to keep the movement going. It is doing that, so it is money well spent. Anyway, I trust the people in the Movement. I don't trust people in the Banks and on Wall Street.
That's a lot of veggie pizzas. I looked at the GA minutes and it's not very coherent, except the donate part, and purchasing metro passes. Distribution to some of the other occupy camps. I didn't see who has ownership. I don't think they wanna talk about accounting, it might not help raise donations. The people who donated and those that fight for the good use of the money, have my highest regard.
Well, my foul mouthed daughter gets a large slice off the top and uses it to have lavish crack smoking parties while laughing at real occupiers actually having it hard outdoors. I told her to save some of that money for the day when 50 pound genetically engineered hams were cheap so she could get a "sleeve job" down there after being an unofficial train engineer since her 7th birthday.
Get off the monetary assets of OWS. If you dont like not knowing were the money is going dont donate. this movement is more than donations and will thrive even if it is broke. Besides a half a million dollars aint shit these days At least from my perspective. Do you ever ask were all the money is going that is dropped in the donation buckets at the grocery store or the salvation army bell ringers.
