Forum Post: Does anyone here understand how Wall Street,Chicago Board of Trade is suposed to work?

Its a simple yet radical concept-Rather then wait for the gov. to come up with tax dollers to build infrastucture like railroads,pipelines,ships private individules pool there money together and sell shares of stock. The stock is then sold on the stock exchanges via market makers who make sure that they get a fair price. The market makers also make sure theres always a buyer even if its the marker maker or broker themselves. Same goes with futures on the Chicago Board of Trade-Farmers need cash now for seed and fertiliser for crops that are harvested in the fall. Rather then wait for Gov. Subsidies they sell the rights to that future harvest. Does anyone here have a better system so that we can build new buisness and get fed? Theres seems to be nothing wrong with the system as it was inteneded its the abuse that got us in trouble.
