Out of curiosity, have you gone on and signed up, and can give us a breakdown for Vermont? Honest question.

Apparently telling the poor that they are now forced to buy it is the answer.

If thats the answer then one thing should be very clear- universal is a long, long way off. If the groundswell of Republican hate after the Bush nightmare brought us this, from a unified progressive public going to polls and voicing their displeasure, then they system is truly broken.

Depends on what your definition of poor is. Have you seen the poverty/ration chart? If you want to go with the government poverty level, I guess those who make 19k a year arent poor?

Im only saying that forcing people to purchase expensive insurance in an insanely expensive medical field isnt really progress on any level. Its almost a step backwards. What is providing more customers to insurance companies going to change? You yourself said there is no free market. You think they are going to just magically all decide to cabal and lower prices? I doubt it.

You do realize those with preexisting conditions that need a lot of treatment are going to end up with 6k a year in out of pocket expenses to reach their out of pocket limits? Less if they want to pay the higher monthly premiums.

You do realize this is still insurance, right? Its still ran by insurance companies. Did you think they all of a sudden were going to throw you a bone Zendog?

Those small minds, are either drunk, or libe(R)topian.

What better time to "spin off" all those effective agencies to profiteered concerns.

I'm not sure there's enough rope in the Universe for these clowns, but I guess it would be a start.

On the other hand, I did find this positive effect of the shutdown.

Who the hell thought it would be alright to let these assholes march around at Gettysburg in the first place?

Can we throw them in the pen too?
