We need a list of actionable demands before the movement withers and dies from atrophy.
We also need to fix this economy, and fixing housing is necessary to do that.
Student loan amnesty is necessary because the debt cannot be discharged in bankruptcy; the terms are draconian; and it is preventing entrepreneurial activity, buying and selling of goods, land, and services.
Those of us that have student loan debit DO NOT NEED Student Loan Amnesty. WHAT WE NEED is a real job.

i have 20k student debt though I would for it to go away but to write it off would not be very stimulating. Should have chosen a lucrative major.
I think a foreclosure moratorium can do some good. I think loan modifications are going on right now.
The "servicer" of the mortgages, which are usually the original writer of the mortgage, are engaged in all sorts of frauds with respect to loan modifications: "losing" authorizations, "losing" notes, robo signing affidavits and notes. Charging fees for modifications. Charging down payments.
About the student loan, you didn't see any of this as problem before entering into an agreement for the loan?
You mean spending $150K for a degree in women's studies is not a good idea?
