You are a one man demolition team for the destruction of the Repelican Party. The Democrats answer to Grover Norquist!

[-] 1 points by Puzzlin (2898) 12 years ago

Bend over Grover!!!

I like this thread. It will be long hot summer. I got Jimi Hendrix Electric Ladyland queued up, and there it is: "It's gonna be a long, long, long hot summer night!!!"

lol. The more the better! Z might need a break now and again (I think he's kind of old, but don't tell anyone). You'll work in shifts.

Hey, me and ronimacaroni and FarewelltoKings are going to DC to protest. They'll be Sponge Cake and music. You should join us! I'm getting a room. I think roni might be camping. I know the Sponge Cake sounds weird. We just threw that in there.

I go down there quite a bit. I am sure there's some big protests coming. I'm dreaming of a day in the not too distant future where we get more than a million in there. The capitol will come to halt and our message will go out to the entire world. We live in a time when this is more than possible! It's coming!!!

[-] 1 points by April (3196) 12 years ago

Oh good. I was a little worried it was just gonna be me and roni and FarewellToKings. : )

[-] 1 points by Puzzlin (2898) 12 years ago

LoL.: ) Don't worry about that. There's always something going on in DC. The Jon Stewart Rally got about 600K in there. That was big and it was a great experience. It made the tea party like a Sunday Picnic for the Friday Night Knitters Club.

I still say this movement is like a bad Sponge Cake. Full of air and half-baked.

[-] 0 points by ZenDogTroll (13032) from South Burlington, VT 12 years ago

LoL!

That's funny.

But the reality is, I'm not that powerful. It's the reality that has the power.

and the reality is, they have lied far too often.

and now they are digging in.

they can't help themselves.

It would be funny, if it weren't so tragic.

the repelican party is done.

LoL!

I know most folks don't share

my demented sense of humor.

Ah well.

That's alright.

I laughed

hysterically

for at least 45 minutes.

That alone made the post worth while.

In case you missed it, there is a movie reference

in the title - but never mind.

My point? Beyond exercising my own peculiar sense of

hysteria?

repelicans have wound up

a portion of the electorate

they ought not

Hey Zen: Have you heard of Rocky Anderson of the "Justice Party" for president? Another forum you were discussing candidates, and not splitting the National Ticket, jeopardizing Obama, but he aligns well with OWS positions. I caught him on "The Young Turks" Current channel the yesterday or day before. He is not accepting contributions of more that $100, wants to get the money out of campaigns, keep civil liberties, etc. He was mayor of Salt Lake city, among other things. The commentators said he would have zero chance of winning, but he might be able to keep Obama from not drifting too far right. He looks like a hot "leader" OWS may want to look into. I think he ought to go for a Senate seat, get a bit more "experience" and track record, and a real presidential bid.

I have heard of him - but that's it.

Salt Lake City - Mormon by any chance?

[-] 1 points by gsw (3410) from Woodbridge Township, NJ 12 years ago

http://www.nndb.com/people/307/000129917/#FN1'

this source says he's a "lapsed mormon"

[-] 1 points by gsw (3410) from Woodbridge Township, NJ 12 years ago

i don't know his religion,... wasn't brought up, but he's championed human rights/LGB issues, and he's a lawyer and articulate on the issues.

I guess if he is advocating lgbt issues he can't be too stuck on religious dogma

[-] -1 points by MASTERdBATER (15) 12 years ago

Kill them all! Who cares. Get back to the real issues.

[-] 0 points by ZenDogTroll (13032) from South Burlington, VT 12 years ago

the end of the repelican party is a real issue,

just because I was treating the subject with a twisted sense of humor, don't make the mistake of thinking it isn't.

Wasn't it something like 40 years the repelican party failed to get a majority in either house?

Now their candidates break 50.03 percent and they call it a mandate.

bwa hahaha

the nimrods

global warming is right outside every single door in America.

the repelican party is DONE.

[-] -1 points by MASTERdBATER (15) 12 years ago

since when did this become the issue, and on who's authority?

[-] 2 points by Just1MoreVoice (76) 12 years ago

Oh come on, even the Tea Party hates the Republicans. It's no secret that they remain a political power only because they are bought and paid for by "Big Business" and serve corporate interests. The Republicans are the most easily identifiable enemies of the 99%.

There is still some sliver of hope that the Democratic Party can be reformed, but it's not going to be easy. There is some doubt about it even being worth the effort, but ultimately, it will still be easier to take back the current government than to build a new one from the ground up.

[-] 0 points by MASTERdBATER (15) 12 years ago

my question was when was the decree made by the OWS decision makers that this was the "new" main issue to address?

[-] 1 points by Just1MoreVoice (76) 12 years ago

I understand that, but this is hardly the main issue. It's simply the most obvious course of action at the time being. Whatever our main goal is, meeting it will certainly involve unseating the Republican Party as a major political force in this country.

[-] 0 points by ZenDogTroll (13032) from South Burlington, VT 12 years ago

I think it's been an issue ever since they started lying -

and I'm really not sure on whose authority they began that.

Newt?

I dunno.

I've just been reporting on the inevitable.

and taking a good deal of pleasure in it, I might add.

[-] -1 points by ZenDogTroll (13032) from South Burlington, VT 12 years ago

and it is inevitable

[-] -1 points by MASTERdBATER (15) 12 years ago

I meant as far as an agenda for OWS.

[-] -1 points by ZenDogTroll (13032) from South Burlington, VT 12 years ago

umm . . .

well, maybe it became an agenda after slimy newt said

take a bath

bwa hahaha

Who? who's takin' a bath?

bwahahaha
