Would you OWS people want to see decreased taxes...fair across the board for everyone OR do you want to see taxes raised on the wealthy?

Allow me to speak on this a little:

It doesn't make sense that if you understand Government being to big and all over the place is the problem part of the solution would be to raise taxes. That's just feeding into the problem at hand.

How about lower taxes to make it equal across the board for everyone? I'm pretty damn broke myself and live in an inner city so don't think I am rich or anything....but....you do know that the top 1% pays 40% of the taxes already...because the poor that do work get all of their money back in refunds...so where is the fairness in that?

Coming from someone who is poor...raising taxes is not the answer...shrinking Government is the answer. In order to lower taxes you have to shrink Government programs...and oh know that means be self sufficient....how dare I say take care of yourself....or at least only keep the social services at state levels and not federal.

I myself, do not feel attracted to ANY of the current presidential candidates. As a group they hold several ideas among them, that are valid, but a a whole- they are idiots. I agree with Herman Caine and his across the board tax. There would have to be more discussion to figure out a more stable number than 9%, however, consider; the US Government is broke. See following link and call me a liar (I dare ya!) http://www.usgovernmentrevenue.com/united_states_total_revenue_pie_chart. We need a change people...

We do have a large majority of our population who do not seem capable of taking care of themselves, and there are more every year with such high rates of teen-pregnancy. And while welfare programs are taken advantage of, there would be a lot more disease and mental illness if they were scrapped along with the government.

Making these programs available at the state level is interesting, only then certain states would take the liberty to get rid of those programs that they don't like and other states would be flooded with "emigrants" seeking the use of gov't services.

That is what should happen. take away entitlements from the feds and only put it at the state level. You would then see an end to tolerance for people who expect to collect money from the government and do no work, and not even try to find work. If anyone wants to see what our federal government is going to be like, if we don't change things is to look at Chicago, Cook County, and Illinois. The cesspoll of America, completely busted, highest tax rates, and people leaving. It doesn't work.
