ECV:
Although only one general national election poll ( except R tilted fox & rasmussen ) put Romney ahead of Obama since mid-July, the key is only in the 9 swing states.

Obama has a close to solid core of 24 states with 237 of the 270 electoral votes needed.
He will win if he can add 33ECV from these 9 swing states

FL(29) or OH(18) or NC(15) or VA(13) or WI(10) or CO(9) or NV(6) or IA(6) or NH(4)

As of 9/6 most of these are slightly in ( D )

RCP predicts the house will stay R
but the senate is 46-46 with 8 toss ups

A New York Times analysis just released calculated that if everyone who is registered to vote actually votes, President Obama has an astronomical 91% chance of winning re-election. 91%!
How? With the same huge turnout of voters we saw in 2008.
but this does not factor the Rs crooked, desperate voter suppression.

The people in power, no matter who you think they are, live in mortal fear that the American public will vote in large numbers.

That fear is particularly strong among a certain contingent.

Can you guess which one that might be?

[-] 3 points by bensdad (8977) 11 years ago

I wondeR

[-] 3 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Or that fellow that founded ALEC.

What's his name now?

Paul Weyrich

http://alecinnc.wordpress.com/2011/10/04/paul-weyrich-co-founder-of-alec/

In his own words, of course.

[-] 3 points by bensdad (8977) 11 years ago

A toss up
Who did more damage to America ? weyrich
norquist
powell

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

I disagree.

I gotta go with Weyrich. The rest are wannabes.

It will take many decades to undo what ALEC has done, and will still do, under different guises..

I couldn't find the date this was recorded, but it was a while ago.

[-] 1 points by jrhirsch (4714) from Sun City, CA 11 years ago

The R and D contingent.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

You missed.

WallStreet and it's attendants.

Now do you get it?

[-] 1 points by jrhirsch (4714) from Sun City, CA 11 years ago

Wall street and it's attendants depend on the fear of the people. As long as we fear a party, or commies, or Bin Laden, they are safe. Once the anger turns toward wall street they will do everything in their power to direct our outrage elsewhere.

They powerful have two arms, R and D, and will pit them against each other to distract our attention just as we are distracted here. Their survival is at stake. Once those arms are broken, we can overcome, divided we will fail.

[-] 2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Of course then too, there's voter suppression.

Fully backed and funded by citizens united.

[-] -1 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

They could care less how many people vote. The game is rigged, the choices are preselected, and every person in the D/R racket is pre bought already at this point.

Its a win win for them.

The other side is saying the same exact stuff that you guys are. If that isnt proof enough that its a trap, Im not sure what will change.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

This is enigmatic even for you hchc.

You LOVE to bitch about apathy, and now you encourage it.

You really should hear the Weyrich statement, so you can truly understand why I feel the way I do about the don't vote MFers.

Weyrich set the trap and you fell "right" in.

[-] 2 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

And once again you take someone who is saying that telling all the sheep to vote for corporate backed puppets is the same as dont vote.

Vote. Get involved. Campaign. Do it all. Just make sure you are spending your time with a group that isnt dominated by 100+ years of corruption.

I campaign constantly. It's like pulling teeth to get people to do more than troll to the polls one hour every two years.

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

You campaign constantly?

Interesting.

You really did fall into Weyrichs trap.

Nice to know who built that box that you're in.

[-] 1 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

Well shooz, it takes more than posting on the internet. You actually have to go and do something once in a while.

If that means Im in a box then so be it. Im sure you and Weyrichs will have fun debating why I am there.

[-] 2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

You didn't listen to it did you?

That's what I mean by staying in your box.

You refuse all info that doesn't fit in it.

Did you make it up to St Petes today?

Pretty big crowds.

[-] 1 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

I listened to it, the guy is a freakin idiot.

You mean yesterday?

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

The "guy" founded ALEC and modern conse(R)vatism.

Call him an idiot, but he's a damn effective one.

Yeah, I guess it was yesterday. apparently the crowds were under reported by the "press".

[-] 1 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

Its not too hard to keep the sheep divided. All you have to do is point at the other side, and they will follow right along.

Would have loved to get a ticket and mic check it, but the RNC has put my work so behind that if I dont take the next couple weeks and get caught up Im going to be in big trouble. Its tough finding the balance, taking care of business vs raising hell.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

You do realize the "sheep" bullshit, is just that........................bullshit.

It's just more propaganda.

You should quit using the term.

Thanks for clarifying that. And thanks for getting this post back up to the top of the list.

You know, because Occupy is very interested in which criminal might win.

Que the cartoons.,

Occupy forum rules

We do not support an election campaign for 2012. At all. We have removed election material for Obama, Paul, Warren, Paul, Cain, Paul, Perry, Paul, the green party, Paul, Nader, Paul, and did I mention Paul? The spamming by the Ron Lawl 2012 fan club was getting out of hand. We will continue to remove such material and any call for the Paul 2012 campaign will, at this point, be considered spamming. End of. We're tired of hearing about it. Main street debates are also largely off topic.

[-] 2 points by bensdad (8977) 11 years ago

I posted election poll summaries

[-] 2 points by jrhirsch (4714) from Sun City, CA 11 years ago

If you had to give up your party affiliation to conquer the corruption within our political and economic systems, would you do it?

[-] 1 points by bensdad (8977) 11 years ago

I'm not sure what "party affiliation" actually means
I will vote for any ELECTABLE candidate who supports the 99%
My favorites are
Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, Alan Grayson, Tammy Duckworth, Brian Schweitzer.
Are they on your "vote for" list ?
I have voted for Jack Javits & John Lindsey

[-] 2 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

So you are registered in multiple states?

[-] 1 points by bensdad (8977) 11 years ago

I would vote for them IF I COULD
would you?

[-] 1 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

I dont support anyone in D/R. If I did, I would not be voting for the incumbent.

So that would leave me with Sanders.

What state are you from?

[-] 1 points by bensdad (8977) 11 years ago

I don't vote FOR parties or AGAINST parties
I evaluate electable candidates on their positions

[-] 1 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

Thats all you do is post cartoons that trash the Republicans.

[-] 2 points by bensdad (8977) 11 years ago

I trash trash
You know as well as I do that ronnie would not win a presidential primary today
Nor would TR or Lincoln

[-] 0 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

And why is that? Romney was pretty much a Dem in his time at Mass.

[-] 1 points by jrhirsch (4714) from Sun City, CA 11 years ago

"A New York Times analysis just released calculated that if everyone who is registered to vote actually votes, President Obama has an astronomical 91% chance of winning re-election."

Can you provide a link to your source?

[-] 1 points by jrhirsch (4714) from Sun City, CA 11 years ago

I can't find the story on the NYT website. A google search brings up over 4000 hits, but as we know, gossip repeated over and over does not make it true.

If people continue to blindly accept what they hear on the street and what they see on the internet, they will continue to be led around by those lies like a dog on a leash. It's up to every one of us to break free from that leash and sniff out the truth for ourselves.

The internet is a great source of information, but at least 50% of it is false. Please check your sources before you spread them, otherwise your friends, family, and literally people world wide will have their eyes and ears caked with excrement that you have flung on them.

You could have spoken to someone who says they spotted bigfoot. It doesn't make it true.

I am just one real person, no sock puppets, just disseminating the truth and exposing the lies. Isn't that what Occupy is all about?

As for being jph or a republican, present your evidence. I'm sure none exists.

[Removed]

[-] 0 points by jrhirsch (4714) from Sun City, CA 11 years ago

Lies tend to have a foul odor. We need to lift off their mask and expose them, no matter how well they match our preconceived ideas, otherwise we end up with a load of crap filling our minds.

The burden of proof is on the person disseminating the information. If none can be provided, then it must be considered false.

Since no evidence was provided for the times article, me being jph, or a republican, then all three should be considered false.

The story could be a week old by now. Let's see if anybody can confirm the story. It should be a piece of cake to post a picture online, if it exists.

Why? Its a corrupted broken system. Right?

[Removed]

[-] 1 points by jrhirsch (4714) from Sun City, CA 11 years ago

The post is pro Obama and does not belong here. Occupy is not about candidates or parties but about exposing the corruption within those parties and the candidates that benefit from that corruption.

The same is said for bots and sock puppets, but guess what?

[-] 1 points by jrhirsch (4714) from Sun City, CA 11 years ago

The same is said for corruption on wall street. As long as no one complains, the corruption will continue. If we can't even moderate this tiny forum, how can we expect to moderate the much larger political and economic one?

[-] 2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

What's that got to do with sock puppets and bots?

Every time I say something about WallStreet, all the libe(R)tarians come out and defend it.

They'll start a partisan anti-Obama thread to bury those truths.

Let's face a simple fact. this is a political movement. To expect no one to comment on politics is pie in the sky.
