Mainstream media, Washington and the Pentagon are crying the sky is falling. Even with the extra trillion in cuts, the spending will be at 2007 levels.
Meanwhile the US spends as much as the rest of the world combined on military operations. But America is falling apart as we build more subs, carriers, jets and military bases around the world and fight endless and new wars.
Cuts for the 99% like education, home aid, health, jobs, senior care, veterans' benefits, cities, states, roads, ports, bridges, tunnels, Wall St. oversight, pollution reduction, research, libraries, arts, museums, and more while war enriches the 1%.
The money the us spends on corporations that produce weapons, will not be lowered- in fact raised- its only the jobs (solders ) that will be reduced. ------ those solders will be sent home- unemployed- with the effect of greater wealth for the rich.-- Instead of our young people, who can't find jobs- joining the military- maybe we just move them into FEMA camps.
Contractors (mercenaries) get $200-300K!
you should see how the right wing is casting this move by the President.
And I would point out that it is repeliKans who refuse to end the bush era tax breaks or corporate loopholes for the one percent.
The repels are bought by the MIC and want endless war for profits.
