What a load of shit. 94% of the people with the most money (almost always the incumbent) wins the race. Its that simple.

But why?

Thats simple too. They get to run more and better tv commercials. The people are too dumb to focus on the person, or focus on anyone outside the D/R duopoly. The TV is hte most trusted person in their lives. Control the media, and you control the people.

Anyone who is running against the D/R Duopoly must use this information as an asset, constatnly reminding people that TV comercials are bought and paid for by special interests, that voters must focus on the message, and that a vote for the duopoly is a vote for the status quo/fascist policies.

Any independent candidate must hammer down on points like the above, along with touring the state constantly, reminding the voters that this is how campaigning used to be done, before all the money came in.

You cant claim democracy doesnt work until you try and fail. Try it and win- that would be incredible. Try it and lose- you just proved the money in politics point. But to simply say, eh, to hell with it, doesnt give you anything to point to in your own personal talking points.
