Curious on how that is useful when it comes to protesting against the 1%

"Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering." --Yoda

Oh, you said Yoga....

To simplify what Robness commented, yoga and meditation are both practices through which one can attain and experience a higher level of consciousness than the fear- and duality-based one to which nearly all of us are confined.

Whatever real change that will manifest from the Occupy Movement or any other such effort will only truly do so when the limits of our current level of consciousness can be surpassed.

Just asking a question. When African Americans were protesting against Jim Crow laws, I do not remember seeing them spend time doing drum circles, spending time doing meditation and/or yoga hours.

So just curious how this helps the protest. Anyone know how it helps?

Children can't control themselves during these protests and allow themselves to give the impression that they are like any other hippie movement. Kick out the yoga mats and the drum circles and higher a PR manager OWS and you might stand a chance.

you might want to "hire" a grammar teacher. Just saying.

Maybe I'll swing by OWS and pick up one of the 6000 unemployed English majors.

To liberate yourself from the confines of a reality that is material and reach the infinite. Liberation from within is the ultimate freedom and some revolutionary leaders have gotten strength from that realization. To me that is the most important of all freedoms.....no jail cell can constrain the conscious love of a man to those who treat him with an ignorance he knows is just a mask they forgot they were wearing to begin with. Once mortal men have advanced enough in science to realize and conjoin with what the mystics have been saying all along(which is happening this very moment) then we will soon realize that our 5 senses are only 5 that perceive a certain type of reality compared to other living life forms......advanced or below our levels. Can you imagine flying a plane if you never knew what a plane was? Humans are like this and yoga is the path to realization of the blockages of the mind traps. If we don't have that then all is lost for compassion for other human beings.
