Forum Post: Credit Unions and Community Banks See Spike in New Accounts

It's a successful BUYcott/boycott! Yahoo news says that many consumers are moving money into credit unions and community banks and out of Bank of America. Big banks are dropping their plans to charge debit card fees. Chalk up a victory for the Occupy movement.

I'd guess this is more related to the widely reported fees than anything to do with OWS.

Move your money anyway. Just because BoA is letting you get out of a fee if they can get your money a different way (higher minimums, etc.) is no reason to stay with them.
