On the one hand, even in Switzerland, a crazy person can get a hold of a gun and kill unarmed people.

Guns are already controlled. This reinvigorated gun grabbing frenzy is all about Gun confiscation.
Unfortunately there are people who don't understand this agenda and are ignorantly advocating for what they think are more "common sense" gun regulations. But in truth they are emboldening the Democrats and like minded politico's to eventually disarm law abiding Americans completely.
The overwhelming ignorance and short shortsightedness of these people can only be described as "low information voters".
