"Companies including Bank of America Corp. and Wells Fargo & Co. (WFC) have contributed $20 million toward the cost of the Democratic National Convention, helping fund an event that Democrats initially said wouldn’t accept corporate money, according to two people familiar with the matter." - http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-09-04/companies-pay-20-million-to-fund-democratic-convention.html

DNC originally supposed to take place at Bank of America Stadium too.

Democracy Now video on Corporations and private interest that fund the Republican National Convention... "Dozens of events have already been held across Tampa -- mostly paid for by lobbyists and corporations taking advantage of loopholes." - really good video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r0q8MGWnkHY

"Taxpayers directly contributed $18,248,300 million to the Republican and Democratic national committees, or a total of $36.5 million, to hold their presidential nominating conventions in Election 2012. They gave similar amounts to the parties in 2008.

In addition, Congress set aside $50 million for security at each of the party conventions in 2012, for a total of $100 million. The total cost to taxpayers of the two national party conventions in 2012 exceeded $136 million."

ON THE POLITICAL MONEY TRAIL From the early hours of the morning until late in the evening, politicians are breaking bread and sipping cocktails with donors. Sunlight’s Party Time lets you know who’s fundraising and where. - http://politicalpartytime.org/

Listen to the facist sing

"Take hope here

War is elsewhere

You were chosen

This is Gods land

Soon we'll be free

Of blot and mixture

Seeds planted by our Forefathers hand"

A mass of promises

Begin to rupture

Like the pockets Of the new world kings

Like swollen stomachs In Appalachia

Like the priest that fucked you As he whispered holy things

A mass of tears have transformed to stones now

Sharpened on suffering

And woven into the slings

Hope lies in the rubble of this rich fortress

Taking today what tomorrow never brings

Where's all the trolls? This is the perfect time for trolls to defend the status quo.

I know one is juggling bowling pins with the bearded lady in the corner.

Another is refusing to answer even the most basic of debates.

The other two are probably taking their afternoon naps.

The trolls are strategyzing on how they will be able to label you a "trouble-maker." From there, ironically they will use 'repeated republican-like nasty epithets' to ostracize you from the 'supposed' OWS supporters who believe in partisan politics. Your time here is short-lived, unless you fall into line hchc.

I was ground down

but at least I was given "a chance"

Lookie loo!

Yet another post trying to stir up partisanship.

Job security for trolls?

[-] 2 points by Mooks (1985) 12 years ago

How is this partisan? He is calling out both parties. Isn't that the opposite of partisan?

[-] 2 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 12 years ago

And here comes #1 charging in. Making the false declaration that declaring the system as inept means....wait for it...... Its a partisan post.

The key root of partisan, shooz, is "part"..... Declaring the WHOLE thing corrupt is not putting it in pieces and favoring one over the other.

Yes, you will find SOME good in a corrupted system. I know you dont agree with that, but it;s true.

Where's the other one?

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

The key is in reading what I actually wrote.

Instead of allowing your knee to jerk, once again.

This thread was posted to stir up partisanship.

Were you really expecting to hear from the "right"?

[-] 1 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 12 years ago

not at the DNC convention

yet we got the few will make it speech but everyone deserves a "chance"

and Bidden yelling loud and proud war war war war war

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

I skipped all the dog and pony shows.

Don't know why anyone would watch.

BTW To answer the question posed by the thread.

Neolibe(R)tarians, one and all.

my bank account has bottomed out

so I spent thursday night at home listening to the radio

I was hoping to hear something good

How is this partisan? I am not biased toward either side. I call them all pigs.

How am I a troll? Because I speak against a corrupt system?

It is always good to share information on the corrupt. Who funds them is good information.

Check the top comment, and then tell me this wasn't posted to stir up partisanship.

Not that I care, but you're one that often bitches about it.

So why do stir it up so much?

[-] 0 points by TrevorMnemonic (5827) 12 years ago

I'm not responsible for what other people comment.

My intention with this post was to further expose the frauds bought and paid for by the banks and corporations we're protesting. Knowledge is power and the sharing of information is great!

You keep saying that word "partisan"... I do not think it means what you think it means.

INCONCEIVABLE!!! lol

Then you should also know that those banks and Wallstreet itself are run by libe(R)tarains.

Just so you get your facts straight.

[Removed]

[-] 0 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 12 years ago

They are run by people who could care less about silly labels and little pet names.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

I'll remember that, the next time you label someone.

Which I'm sure won't take very long.

It doesn't negate the FACT that these people are by and large libe(R)tarians.

Not unlike there cohorts the Koch brothers.

Oh, and while we are on the subject, why do you sound so much like this guy?

Libertarians make up about a quarter of Occupy, so this guy is obviously out of touch.

Its about corrupted banking cartel and bought politicians.

And we all love your little names like libe(R)tarians. Thats so cute!!

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

You know, I've had this conversation with you before, and you know what I'm talking about, and you know damn well it's not the guy on the street I'm referring to.

So why play coy?

I'm talking about the REAL libe(R)tarians.

The guys who founded the modern version.

Kochs and cohorts.

Do you deny their activities?

[-] 1 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 12 years ago

Actually most of those guys you are referring to are fascists, not libertarians.

Fascist spend a lot of money lobbying the gov for favorable legislation that drowns out competition.

I dont deny the fascist activities taking place. ANd I dont deny that your use of little pet names is so cute.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

That's not the way they see it.

They invented it in their minds. They follow Ms. Rand, and you know that too.

I don't care what you call those followers of Ms. Rand. I call them neolibe(R)tarians.

If your buds on the street are reading and believing that crap....................run.
