This movement will never make a huge impact without the support of the police. The mass public needs to learn that those men and women whom are firefighters and police are not going to join your cause when you are violent and putting their lives in danger. Understand that the police stopping these protests are doing their JOBS. They're bringing money home to feed their kids. Get them to join your cause, not push them away with violence by making them scared to stand in front of your protest. Get them to cross the line and join you. They are not the enemy.

As a firefighter I don't understand why the fire and police unions can't come together and support this cause. If the unions told their members tomorrow to stop all anti-protest actions, that would be the final nail for the 1%.The unions fight for the rights of the working class but sit on their hands and let their members brutally beat and arrest the only people that support police and fire. I for one have been trying to get an answer from my union reps but just get ignored. Hmmm...who do they really support. All it takes is the firefighters union to support occupy and send people to the protests and the cops will follow suit.

Post: Cops and firefighters are not the enemy

No they are not. They are in fact a part of the 99. They are mothers and fathers, parents, and they have as much invested in this struggle as the rest of us.

That some of us, today, bleed at some of their hands, is a result in part, of our own carelessness.

It is also a consequence of the politics of division.

In time we will bring an end to the politics of division.

it was impossible in israel people that join the police usually enjoy being in a position of power over others. if you make them join you, strike or protest with you, you have probably won.

We're in America, not a communist run country. That is such a far fetch "nuff said" remark.

Tiananmen Tanks are in America, not nuff said. Remove the word "non" and you get "mass violent direct action", now nuff said.

First off, you spell it Tiananmen Tanks. And please explain your "nuff said".

"nuff said" means Occupy does not want to work hand in hand with the police. They are busy portraying them as Tiananmen Tanks on their new posters. Occupy's imagery aims to turn the police into demon oppressive overlords and the protesters into poor angelic victims. Look at that poor man in front of those three big tanks. He's so vulnerable.

Thanks for the correction. But, no tanks. nuff said.
