Forum Post: Contradiction - Occupy Violence and those Against Occupy

There seems to be an apparent contradiction I cannot quite wrap my head around, that I have seen time and time again.
There are those that highlight the few involved in violence in the Occupy Protests. The lesson they are trying to pass is that peaceful protests are the way to get corruption out of our government, and the majority of protesters do follow that rule.
But, I have noticed on various forums on the internet, that the same people against violence for the protests, and generally, against Occupy period, are also the most pro violence when it comes to how our government deals with other countries via the military.
If the lesson our government teaches everyone, is that violence is how you get your way, then how can peaceful protests work against that very same government?
I do agree peaceful protests is the way to go, in order to get as many people awake and on the side of the protesters as possible, but there seems to be a lot of Hippocrates that believe in violence only when it is their cause to put forth.
There are those whose ideals foster violence and those whose ideals are of peace. We live in a dual system of morals and ethics in this world. I have seen throughout the years that where violence is a part of man's dual nature so is peace. If we are looking for the government, or politicians or leaders to guide us then we must ourselves be that which we truly desire. ethically and morally. We cannot look to others to define us because now is the time when we must be sure of what it is we desire out of all this. Watch the wildebeast....we can no longer act that way. Take up your fight, make it right for yourself and by pass the others!
I agree with what you say by spreading the light, and not darkness. Violence is probably what the Government and their supporters want so they can trample down on them with "Just" cause.
