Perhaps ows and other occupy groups around the country should devote one day of protest on a weekend specifically to the support and defense of the 1st and 14th ammendments: one which names the freedoms and protects from federal obstuction of them, and the other that protects from state obstruction of them.

Any support for this?

Well, since im talking to myself, here, i have to say i am surprised no one seems to see value in this idea. With the problems with some police and some local governments and the use of safety ordinances all to suppress protesting, it seems imperative to me to demonstrate our collective defense of our rights. There are two benefits: one is that even people who disagree with this movement support the idea of protesting, so it would be a point to really make a big impact; next, any local govt that tried to interfere with a protest supporting the constitution would not be making friends, so they would be less likely to interfere, but then when they do interfere with occupy it will demonstrate that they have an anti occupy agenda...

I would call for a 24 hour protest, from midnight to midnight, to ensure it it contrasts with park closings that are intended for public safety but are being misused to shut down occupy protests.
