Just got really curious the other day and read this: Citizen's arrest Definition : an arrest made not by a law officer but by any citizen who derives the authority to arrest from the fact of being a citizen Under common law, a citizen may make an arrest for any felony actually committed, or for a breach of the peace committed in his or her presence.

Technically then, across the country couldn't us as citizens arrest individual officers who are so blatantly disrupting the peace and brutalizing the people?

Couldn't we also arrest politicians and elite who blatantly break the law?

If they did that I guess you could but I wouldn't try it. As fuzzyp said it so eloquently, you'll get fucked up and jailed. Keep thinking though.

If they do it randomly but not during demonstrations. I'd advise against trying it because you'll get fucked up and jailed.
