Stop the Pinochetist attack, the repression and prosecution against the working class and the Chilean youth of the murderous Piñera’s government!

Last Wensday 04/01, the Investigation Police raided, in an absolutely illegal way, the house of the fellow Felipe Espina Melgarejo, high school mate of “Contra la Corriente” (Against the Current) youth, that was part of the heroic fight developed in 2011, he was a delegate from his School, Anexo Indira Gandhi of La Florida commune, which was occupied for months.

That day a white van arrived at his home, with 2 civils that went down and asked for him. When he got out, the individuals showed their police identity cards and identified themselves as members of the Investigation Police, to threaten him, giving names and surnames from other comrades, saying that he was being suited by Piñera, Zalaquett and the City Hall; that they knew that he was the student leader of his school, and ACES delegate, naming his participation in several activities and fighting measures that were made by the student, workers and popular movement in the last year, and for that reasons he would be imprisoned. In response to the silence of the comrade and the resistance to give information, the detectives instigated him so that the following day he needed to be at court.

As it is seen, this raid and the behalf of the police was so reactionary that not only brings back to memory the “best” times of the DINA and the CNI, but also it goes beyond the bourgeois legality, since they proceded without any court order for entering at his house.

Meanwhile, 3 students are still imprisoned in the claws of the civic-military regime, and several are in house arrest, alongside to the dozens of political prisoners that the murderous Piñera government holds

This attack is part of the government and the civic-military regime against the Chilean heroic working class and youth that came from carry out a huge revolutionary fight for public and free education with the “renationalization without payment and under workers control of the cupper”

That is why, from the Internationalist Workers Party-Fourth International (POI-CI) and from “Contra la Corriente” (Against the current) collective, we make a call to all the worker, student and popular organizations from the world; to the syndicates, the student federations, the schools that are still being occupy, the high-school coordinators, and all the organizations that claim themselves to be from the world working class to take in their hands this campaign to face this attempts of bourgeois counter-offensive, making demonstrations, and demonstrate in front of the Chilean embassy around the world, following the path of the thousands of Japanese students and workers, that last year, with the Zengakuren youth leading, surrounded the Chilean embassy in Tokyo in solidarity with the Chilean workers and students, against the repression of the government and for the freedom of all the political prisioners. And also to make proclaims condemning the repression and the prosecution commanded by Piñera, to send them to all the Chilean Embassies and Consulates in the rest of the world. There is no time to loose! If they touch one of us, they touch us all!

For the immediate and unconditional freedom of all the political imprisoned! Un-prosecution of all the workers and popular fighters! No more prosecution, intimidation and threats from the State and their pinochetist command groups against the workers and student movment!
