Very rare is there enough media to give both sides to an issue these days. Not in any informative way. The problem we should have been focusing on instead of invading without evidence, is the feared flashpoint over Israel and Iran. Ironically, aside from the chest pounding, they aren't going to do anything because Russia is not going to give Iran a free pass and Obama isn't going to give Israel a free pass.

If you zoom in to the next level though, you will see that there are other geopolitical issues other than the huffy noise makers that hog mainstream media. Countries that suffer in the middle of the disputes by the big headed 1%ers of the international scene. Places like Palestine yes, but also Lebanon. Innocent people in Lebanon have now died from Syria's over-spill.

Meanwhile, Israel is telling the press that they will hold Lebanon accountable for actions taken by the Iranian funded group Hezbollah. Enforcing the notion with more chest thumping at Lebanon and disregarding UN rules, infringing on Lebanese airspace as if to pull a gun on someone. And in all the chest pounding, who will suffer yet again? Women and children.

So go ahead US military industrial complex, Lockheed, Dick Cheney and the entire Bush family, eat up those blood soaked profits from the sale of arms, and the death of the families which you understand only as a campaign prop. Go ahead Romney, shake your war hammer at Russia. None of you will feel a thing.

Agreed. The US, if it continues to push US hegemony, and the US military empire, it is perilously toying with tipping off WWIII. If that occurs, I will advocate every pro militarism government official be tried for high treason against US citizens. Bush, Cheny, McCain, Obama, Poindexter, Gates, and Panetta should be at the top of the damn list.

If Israel is bent on committing themselves to a circular firing squad, leave us out of it.

Have you read the "Black Swan of Cairo"? Good stuff...

I have not. But yeah, it's past time to reign in the pentagon and do something about talk of war and enemies from political figures.

Agreed, The standing army should be slashed out of the budget... completely. That's coming from a person who has served. The DoD budget should be cut 90-95%. If it can't be done with part time soldiers, it shouldn't be done at all.

On Syria, how many estimated millions fled Iraq's insanity and ended up in Syria?

We reap what we sow, but people don't seem to understand that basic law of cause and effect. It's like the US assumes that people don't have a memory of being bombed, or something.

Yeps. Took a few edits but I think I made a pretty good case for paying attention to the next war around the corner.
