"Turn off the TV!" counsels the Dalai Lama to his American audiences, with a big smile on his face.
He knows all too well how hypnotized and addicted we have become to the "boob tube".
95% of American TV is part of a mass experiment in COLLECTIVE CRETINIZATION, probably unparalleled in human history. The first revolutionary act that an American citizen can commit is to CANCEL HIS CABLE SUBSCRIPTION.
In addition to FREEING HIM PERSONALLY from the powerful Propaganda Machine of the 1%, it constitutes a form of PROTEST of the 99% against the same 1%, who have basically hijacked the medium for their own profit.
Let's teach our friends and neighbors to find their news - the REAL news - on the Internet and start a CANCEL CABLE CAMPAIGN!

Absolutely. I gave away my TV 16 years ago and have never looked back. My wife thought this strange when she met me, but now she's used to it and hates the TV as well.
BTW - You don't need to use all caps on certain words. I can read just fine.

You sound like the TROLL who declared he would put an axe to his TV... LOL There's nothing wrong with owning a TV! I kept my set to watch worthwhile DVDs such as "Inside Job", "Why We Fight", "The Corporation", etc.
