No need to thank me. This is why we are here. To unite in common cause. To take good direct action to help make a better world.

Banks could do this to anyone - used to be illegal to hold payments to make someone late... better hope a rich bank doesn't have his eye out on your property so he can buy it up with a sweet foreclosure price and get the cash ready to bid before it even gets taken... conflict of interest in the banking world - guess we all need to look out for one another - signed this - thanks for posting

Thank you for signing. God I feel sorry for these people. It's criminal, just plain criminal.

Well, I tried.

With petitions like these do you just accept that the little blurb on the bottom of the page is the truth? As bad as the banks are, I find it a lot more likely that in this economy, the family just stopped making payments on the house. I mean it happens all the time.

This story was reported in a newspaper, and has been clearly established as a case of false eviction.

I would sign it even if they coudn't make the payments, rather than see the money go to Goldman Sachs.

Fair enough. Personally, as evil as the banks are, I would still rather have the terms of a contract agreed on by both parties carried out. I mean if I stopped making payments on my own house I would expect the bank to take it too.

Well, if banks had confined themselves to ethical practices, I would agree with you. But I don't think they should be rewarded for engaging in unethical practices.

Ooh, a petition will really make things happen.

It's one of many things that make things happen.
