-They use illegal aliens paying them below minimum wage and keeping them in poverty. -They lie and say their food is made ethically. It is not. -They use Wallt St bankers to steal money to oppress the poor. -They lie and they serve food under the guise of organic when it is not. -They use the laws to keep american workers out and put illegal aliens in so they don't pay a fare wage or offer health insurance. -They won't lets use the restrooms.
BOYCOTT
You must show proof!!!!. You know you could get sued for a lot of money for making claims you can't prove. It's your responsibility to prove that it's regular practice.
I would assume that a "Mexican Grill" would employ immigrants. Otherwise, I wouldn't consider it a Mexican Grill.

I worked for this company and they are a good solid company who treat their employees right.
Illegal aliens are more american than you, next time i see a chipotle mexican grill i will eat there. the illegal aliens just want money to feed thier family's. It is racist if your evidence is you walking in there and noticing they only had mexicans there and you assumed they were illegal
I don't think boycotting a whole bunch of franchises is really the solution right now. I think what's going on in New York and all the other cities is the solution. If you want to uncover a world of millions of illegal aliens and workers, look into the Landscaping and snow removal industries. These 2 are ripe with tax fraud as well.
But this a public company.
They are breaking the law and they run by MacDonalds! They pretend to be all healthy and they are killing us with these chemicals.
Tyson Chicken brought in people from Somalia to work for them because their current workers were asking for a raise. Is that what this country is coming to? For the sake of more profits for people at the top, they start importing workers from poor countries who will work for next to nothing and don't know their rights? People need to take heed of what is going on right under our noses before it's too late!

It's not just Chipotle that does this and it isn't just illegal aliens that are taken advantage of. Have you ever asked your favorite waiter/waitress in many diners/ restaurants across the country how much they are paid? If they are honest, they will tell you and number that will leave you shaking your head. Most get paid well under the minimum wage for money made with tips.
A woman told me recently that she got paid $3 an hour plus tips but that her employer put her on the books for the full tax amount so he could cover his butt. I asked her why she stayed at her job and she said that it is this way all over the place ... and always has been.
I then asked her if she ever contacted the Dept of Labor and she said that she knows people that have but nothing ever came of it.
After speaking with her, I asked other waitresses I know and they confirmed what she said. It's like an open secret that has been going for years.
Maybe some people here on this forum could confirm or deny. I never worked in the food industry so I don't have first hand experience.

This is true and it is required by the IRS. Food servers get a certain amount of income "imputed" to them & then taxes are withheld on it because the IRS assumes they receive X amount in tip income every day.
Contacting the Dept of Labor does nothing, her employer is operating within the law.
But it is my understanding that here in NY, if one works with tips then the minimum wage is $5.50 per hour plus tips. The employer is them supposed to report the income up to the point of $7.25 an hour. If the tips are higher than that then it is the employees responsibility to report the excess income.
I believe it is against the law to pay somebody $3 but then report them receiving $5.50 an hour plus tips. Not only is the employer ripping off the employee with the wages, he is making her pay the difference in taxes. That's not right.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
I don't know about NY, but here in ID the legal wage for tip compensated employees is 3.35 an hour. I make good tips, and far too much for any government help.
