We need to show just how important the 99% are. WITH OUR WALLETS
I know that everyone waits for black Friday to buy all their holiday gifts for dirt cheap.
well, I think we need to show these corporations just how important our ideals are and BOYCOTT all the corporations through this holiday season. send them a message. LET THIS BE THE BLACKEST FRIDAY WE'VE EVER HAD
So if they post record sales does that mean only a very few care about OWS?
lol I just posted this to kind of see what people thought, but I'm kind of unsure if it's something worth pursuing.
if we were able to hit the corporations where it hurts,
short term: it would hurt other 99 percenters. but it would send a clear message to the 1 percenters.
long term: it maybe could hurt the economy, or something...? [I'm not exactly an expert in economics, so don't attack me as if I am one, I'm open minded to discussion, which is why I posted this to begin with]
What is it that the group can choose to do as a whole to intelligently and strategically attack the 1% in order to show them we have more bite to us than bark?

OWS has to make itself of interest to the masses of American out there not directly involved. Alienating those we hope to include our ranks is assinine. Many people have to realize - 99% of us are over 296 million people. This movement has been aimless wandering since day one. We need to start thinking if we hope to grow and do something about the errors in our society. Not lash out blindly.
Yeah....thats real bright. Many of the 99% that you are supposed to support work at the "evil corporations" and own stock to support their retirement.....and you want to damage that.
This kind of comment perfectly sums up the illogical and misguided mindset of OWS.
Good luck. I've always experienced an epiphany whenever I see Americans willing to spend. When the wallet comes out, our brains turn off. If someone wants something bad enough, no matter the cost, they'll be willing to spend for it. How to make that ploy work for the OWS! We need a brainstorm!
If you manage to hurt the corporations by boycotting the stores, the regular and seasonal employees, all members of the 99%, will also get screwed royally. You will end up hurting the ones you claim to support.
And they will post record sales because because in actuality 99% of this country could care less about OWS.
yea, in retrospect, I don't know much about what I'm talking about, but it seemed like a good idea. lol
