Forum Post: Beware and protect the movement from violent troublemakers infiltrating OWS

With global and statewide news agencies reporting incidents of 'violence' breaking out in many of the worldwide protests taking place today, it would be best if OWS instituted a plan in which to deal with such inevitable problems by informing the peaceful protesters on how to deal with such a threat.
Entities contemplate these common tactics to force the police and government to take action. This is a common technique used to undermine peaceful civil disobedience protests going back to the days of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
I agree -- peaceful demonstration is the only way to remain the image of a reputable and responsible movement. Violence is the opposing sides attempt to weaken the demonstration. Resist their tactics and call out those attempting to infiltrate. We must remain separate from those attempting to insight violence if our mission is to succeed. Violence never solves anything.
