This content is user submitted and not an official statement

. . . As a last "act," I will post it here:

There is some Dirty, Evil, Skulldugdery Shit going on on this forum now. The tail is wagging the dog. Time to BAIL and find new means of communication !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who The Fuck actually pays for the operation of this site anyway, and Who the fuck really operates this site, and in Who the fuck's interest is this site now operated????

What impression does this site now give of this movement to the uninitiated????

Time to stop evading these questions? Time to stop being mesmerized by the flow of words, and get engaged in Real Meaning - Ya Think? Time to get engaged in the Real Dynamic of social transformation - Ya Think????

I couldn't help posing these last questions for those remaining here who actually belong here.

We Must Find a New Form Of Communication !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

-Oh, now let's hear our Tr@shyMaster talk about "flouncing," or whatever he and his 50+ full-time paid ops are fingering up their little "on message" psych-ops sleeves . . . Fuck it here! You dig?

-See you in the clear light!

Posts that can be described as "harshly critical" of the State of Israel are difficult or impossible to be seen on this forum.Likewise anything urging support of Julien Assange or Wikileaks.I will keep on trying to post here.It seems to me that my participation is not very helpful to anybody other than myself. For those who desire to thwart me-you are causing me a somewhat painful feeling of dismay.

I always like your comments, Trashyharry. I have discovered that the forum seems to be set up to immediately remove certain language and even certain websites. And, this seems to be done all out of context because it is computerized and so it is automatic with little intervention from a person.

Jullian merely provided posting space(like on uncountable other site) on Wikileaks

Bradley Manning, the men that posted the "leaks" is still in indefinite detention

At this point it is becoming very difficult for me to make posts on the forum or reply to comments on the forum.Often, when a post is typed halfway through, the page reloads, erasing all I have typed.Sometimes, the same thing happens when trying to reply to a comment. If I try to re-enter my remarks, the same thing happens again-and again, unless I give up or completely change my statement.I don't know why this is happening.

not having that problem from my terminal

the reload issue is likely or your side

[-] 2 points by trashyharry (3084) from Waterville, NY 11 years ago

That was my original idea with regard to the problem. Now I am experiencing what appears to be a temporary Ban which must be on account of the site moderators.

I usually double in banning time minimum if I'm banned from a site

The solution for this forum is tighter moderation. Probably one of the best managed forums on the Internet is Stormfront.org. No, I’m not a racist or white nationalist. But I occasionally visit the site out of curiosity and an interest in what crazy people are talking about.

Basically the mods review every post from new members and determine if it’s proper for the site. And after a period of time, if your posts are good, and you get some twinkles, the mod review will stop reviewing and you can post without the mods checking your checking you. However, the mods still keep a tight rein on posts. If you appear to be a troll you account will be terminated.

This method is harsh, but it keeps out the trolls and trash postings.

No freedom to speak freely. I'd think such an idea flies in the face of what OWS stands for.

[-] 1 points by Narley (272) 11 years ago

I agree with you. But unless something is done the forum will continue to have trolls.

The world is full of people who have differing opinions, ideas, ideals, and experiences, goals and desires. If this forum is to be a microcosm of something larger, then how it deals with those differences now will affect how people assume it will deal with them on a greater scale in the future.

On this forum, like most internet forums, probably over half the posts are not much more than name calling and berating people who disagree with you. That’s just the way it is on the Internet. Trolling is entertainment for too many people. Trolls will ruin a forum quickly if not somehow controlled.

Troll management is not an attack on free speech. It’s an effort stop the malicious and intentional harassment normal posters have. If we don’t do something the trolls will make this forum just another hate fest.

You're a day late and a dollar short.

[-] 2 points by Narley (272) 11 years ago

Aw well, that's seems to be the norm for me.

[-] -1 points by vaprosvyeh (-400) 11 years ago

I agree. But hate goes both ways. And there is much evidence of name calling and berating of people who haven't done anything malicious or harassing here.

I guess what I'm asking is how does the OWS of the future see itself dealing with malicious and intentional harassment in the real world? How does it envision "controlling" those in society who disagree with them who aren't malicious at all?

[-] 1 points by Narley (272) 11 years ago

You ask very hard questions. I don't know the solution. But I think it will involve trying denying some people the right to post.

[-] 1 points by vaprosvyeh (-400) 11 years ago

These are hard questions. They'll need complicated solutions. But, isn't making that group....that "some on the right"...the minority and then silencing them or disenfranchising them exactly what OWS is supposed to be fighting against? Or are you just in search of a way to unseat the powers that be so that you can sit in their chairs for a while?

[-] -1 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 11 years ago

the trolls keep the forum moving

[-] 0 points by Narley (272) 11 years ago

Yes, that is true.

What's this? Goodbye #5??? Here's an idea. If you don't come back then you won't have to leave yet again and again and again and again and again.....................
