It's a basic algebraic equation...
1(I) x 1(I) = 1(Me) x 1(Me) 1(I) = 1(Me) I = Me IMe
When the "I" generation begat and created the "Me" generation it was inevitable that we would end up with a gaggle of little I, I, I's and Me, Me Me's.......
