If this is the maturity level of official response from the managers of this site you now have one less supporter. Good luck.
Seriously, you must be looking for a reason not to support this movement. If a single person can make you "not in the mood" for democracy and separation of corporation and state then I seriously doubt your commitment to it in the first place.
The world and our country is more important than fragile egos. Forget what individuals say and help the movement.
Sir, I have been fighting these issues for over 40 years, I closed my last bank credit card over a decade ago telling them that their company did not meet the moral or ethical requirements to do business with me. I tossed my TV out over 20 years ago. I will continue to fight this with the same maturity and high ethics I always have.
Okay, that's great. I'm glad you've been fighting for these issues for so long. But don't confuse a couple members of this board with the movement. The movement is much larger than any individual response.
Have I been rude to you? If not, then call it a wash and keep on fighting.
This is not about members of the discussion as you and I. This is the official face put forward by those operating this forum. I do not wish to support of be associated with moving the discourse in that direction. When even the moderators are not civil it is time to move on
Again, this website is not the movement. The movement is in the streets. If you want to move on then obviously no one can stop you. This is a bottom-up spontaneous movement so if you'd like to create a different face of the movement then go ahead and do so. If you create a better environment then you will turn out to be the official face eventually.
But if this movement isn't worth it to you because someone with moderator access "dissed you" , then okay. For the record I also have moderator access and am not calling you names.
It was not just moderator access, sir. It was the official auto response from the those who set up the site. That is simply not the type of discussion I wish to have where even the site is programmed to call people jerks. Not going there, sorry.

I, too, hate the owner of this website. It is 2011, there are plenty of computer programmers and web developers in the movement willing to help
Well...I don't "hate" the owners of this site. they have simply chosen to take the discussion in a direction that is counterproductive to the cause. While most forums make it one of their main rules to speak with respect to one another right up front, this one actually programs the software to call the members "jerks". I will not support that because that will not fix the problems I see in my country. That will simply make them worse.
To eliminate any confusion here, this was not someone commenting on something I posted. I would not judge the site based on that. This was the auto response from the forum program when I tried to make a post.

It is not a matter of sensitivity, endthefed. It is a matter of the direction I want my country to move in and this is not it.
trust me, i understand... The mods banned me from a chat because i mentioned politics...? If the people that ran these pages ran the government, we would have no freedom of speech or democracy. Im not sure what their agenda is, but its really the only medium we have to express our opinions concerning OWS. Just do what we do best and keep on keeping on... Power of the people!
