Are you the 99%? Are you really looking out for me and all the other Americans? Or is the real 99% the people who are going to work every day around you, to feed themselves, their children, maybe other relatives? If you succeed, then what? The corporations move to another state in America or country? Are you really uniting America to make it a stronger nation? Or dividing it via class warfare and rancorous discourse? Are you free-thinkers? Or are you merely one voice coming from the mouth of Communism? So, occupiers, my last question is this: who are you?

Well, the idea is for our government to become more responsible towards the population as other social democratic countries do, govern for the people. Americans work very hard, when they do have a job, and do pay high taxes as other social democracies do, but are entitle to no benefits from the government. The most powerful economies around the world are China, Brazil, Canada, and France. These economies are consider to be Mix Economies; that is, the government does own and operate all the industries that are under the ground and considered to be a treat to the national security such as oil, minerals, water etc. These economies do have rich-powerful government because they do have endless sources of income. These economies do not compete with other industries from the private sectors, but rather they do work together, sometime under contract with the government to provide much needed social services. The concept of free market is an ancient idea, 100 years to be exact, and is no longer viable because modern societies do evolve and pass through many fazes of adjustments and responsible government will allow for this transformation to take place. The free market does not always functions responsibly when it comes to social issues because, from their point of view, it’s no profitable. The time has come for a socially democratic government to take care of America. We do need a mix economy.

It depends. Some of the occupiers are spot on that the system needs fixing. Others are a bunch of freeloaders that think OWS is about getting them a higher paycheck for doing either nothing or the same work.
