It occured to me, that as we converse with these bots, will add to the data pool of the BOT's...... As we speak to those sock puppets, responding to their input, are we creating a mathematical, input - output, which 'teaches' them how to infiltrate, and use the device of propoganda...?
Just a theory, a hypothetical, that I figured someone here would be able to answer...
I'm NOT a Computer Scientist or even a 'Scientist' of any description but I refuse to remain silent in the face of The Constant (MSM et al) Propaganda from The Imperialist, 'Drum Beating', WAR-Whores and The 'BSing, Talkin' Outta Their Butt', Bots !!! Wow! I know...it's so frustrating not knowing whether the person your speaking to is a person. Hmmmm I wonder if we could make OWS BOT's that run around keeping other BOT's busy.....OR better OWS BOTs that disseminate truth throughout the forums....hmmmm we could even give the all names like stevebot, and jillbot.... then, the HUMANS would know who they are, but not the other BOT's! HEY what an idea!

I like that response. Thanks for reminding me! Ideas and concepts really are what matters....I guess I'm just surprised all the time, by what humans do, and what they do to each other, and, I'm frustrated and, to be honest simply furious to know that MY mind is and always has been a battleground. I guess I still, have a childlike faith (naieve I know), that people, are genuine. That they really DO want a better world, and that tactics such as the ones being used....well I guess I don't need to go on.
I guess the shattering of illusions, as I have delved deeper into this mess, has been.....difficult. I was just a simple entertainer. I dedicated my life to making people happy. That's all I wanted. Then all this crap slowly encroached upon my world, my family, my community...and I'm pissed.... Maybe I'm just ranting (my rants get raves sometimes, lol), but..... well I guess you can fill in the rest....shalom.

Do you have any links to these bots replies?? That puff idiot could possibly be one, but he says things if you engage him that are in direct relation to what was said against him. Outside of that, I've seen no evidence of 'bots. You can't say people who don't think the way you do are 'bots sent in to undermine you or make you part of some litmus test. That's just paranoid and silly. Not being condescending.
You need to go online and google "turing test" and play with a real bot and you can then know how smart they really are,
Maybe 20+ years ago there used to be one on UNIX that was a 'psychiatrist', you could talk to it for hours and get pretty funny results, .. the fact is this shit has been around forever,
I think the first thing is familiarize yourself with a known bot go find one, then come back here and play and see if you can find them

Yeah, I had a go at him the other day, couldn't help myself. It's funny, but I actually would say that he is actually quite graceful and intellectual in his 'trollness', which of course just adds to the frustration....prob why I got frustrated, he could do so much more with that mind.
bl@ze : Tho' there may be something in what you say, recently The Forum Entity, 'Thrasymaque' had taken to spamming posts that he didn't like with pictures - some of them pornographic and offensive. He did this to me yesterday (Sndy, 11th Dec.) and whilst I had my young nephews (all<6) running running around.
Further, he has admitted to having multiple poster-IDs (& personalities?) and often these overlap. He imagines that he is succeeding in keeping them discrete and well separated but alas, he is wrong and has been found out.
"Thrasmonkey" has made his bed and common sense and natural justice dictate that he lays in it. I hope that he has the wit, integrity and humility to learn some lessons and that he comes back after the burning that he's had.

But FYI here's the deal did you see blade-runner? When he asked questions like "Do you enjoy watching the same sex in the act?", "He had a dinner of boiled dog" ... There was NO emotional response, when your talking with a bot you can usually tell how they respond. For instance you might say "Today I ate my penis", the bot would reply "do you do this often"? They're not very good about taking extreme things and bringing them together and realizing that they're repulsive, sort of like saying today I had motor-oil and grease for breakfast the bot may respond "Did you like it?", its pretty simple shit, but when talking to a BOT if you go OVER THE TOP, and they still maintain decorum, you know your talking about a bot, I know when we used to play with Eliza we would say shit like "When I talk with you I like to maturbate", she might reply "Do you have this feeling often", ... a human would most likely cut you off the bot just keeps going, ... never quits.

Can you educate a sock puppet?
Here's theory, adbuster.com has already sold-out to the highest bidder, and now we're guinea pigs so some third world dictator can determine how to control his computer-geeks.
My opinion is that the glue for the sock-puppets is more inside OWS than outside, their direction seems biased, you would think that an agency would want to be testing all possible persuasions, here its like right-wing sock-puppets 24/7,
But like many observed weeks ago, most of our sock-puppets are on posting 24 hours a day and that ain't normal, or possible.
Given the amount ORWELLIAN-GLUE we have already found on the OWS-SERVER system, it wouldn't surprise me that the sock-puppet logic was built-in to the apache-server.
