I feel that some of us--while very well-intentioned--are arguing and demanding the wrong things. Please watch this video, it clarifies a lot. Perhaps it can help us streamline our message:

I am amased at how Occupy works. Would like to have your input on the movement to understaqnd it better. I am asking you to answer 10 questions and I am happy to share results if you are interested. Please, take some time for it: Thank you! http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Q3NF7QB

yes...Zeitgeist...a wonderful and clear vision. A favorite saying of mine is "don't confuse a clear view with a short distance"

OWS is basically about people being out of work. And you expect them to "see" a Zeitgeist planet?

I've created a Presidential candidacy specifically so citizens can create a platform of a new government system so THEN our elected politicians can BEGIN to make decision that look forward 2 years, 5 year, 10 and 20 years. We currently (as you certainly know if you are Zeitgeist) have a catastrophic form of government that is dysfunctional even when trying to address yesterday's emergencies.

check it out: http://www.JeffBlock2012.com and do understand that my candidacy is a conduit for 65,000,000 voters (what it would take to win) to create a system that at least stands a chance of taking us to a better future - feel free to spread this info throughout the Zeitgeist community...

I'm not "zeitgeist", I'm just someone who is looking for answers and options. I am interested in finding the real root of the problems as that is the only way to fix anything. I try not to label myself as anything as that is too limiting and restricting to progress.

I have no issue with "zeitgeist" as a label even for myself, without any connection to the "movement". To me, the word is shorthand for understanding the vision... I view it as the goal of the human race here on this little planet. We have such potential to live healthy and happy on this planet, ALL of us, and we're screwing it up.

I almost make it a hobby to look for the real root of the problems. Most people only see and react to the symptoms and at best put a band aid on the symptoms. At worst the "law of unintended consequences" happens. My favorite examples are when our lawmakers ADD to our income tax code in order to simplify it!

Streamline it into the "zeitgeist movement?" I suggest watching this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhrwmJcsfT0

No, the information in the video I posted may help us realize what the true problems are and I think it's important for that reason, please watch it all the way through. Whether it's labeled as the "zeitgeist movement" is not the point. I'm starting to think that the economic collapse HAS to happen and to try and take people to task for it's collapse is missing the real issue and hindering our chance for creating real change that benefits anyone. Perhaps we need to disregard what we think we know about economics, government and the current socioeconomic structure and start asking ourselves what our true values are and if these game playing mechanisims will really benefit us ultimately.

republican criminals are the problem- just listen to their hate filled rants, their job killing propaganda, their billionaire loving kowtowing. Good republicans remain silent. This silence by good republicans too is treason.

By talking to the people who disagree with us we have an opportunity to change their minds and their hearts and that is a very important thing. Even if it isn't initially noticeable, simply by engaging in conversation with these people we will be making progress. So don't write them off completely as "criminals". We need to not dehumanize people. If we can respond positively and without aggression to people who disagree with us, we will have made an impression and perhaps that will aid in a change in their perspective over time. By making this or that group into "bad" people, we're really doing ourselves a disservice ultimately. We all are interconnected even if the way in which we are connected is not completely apparent. The only way to change people's minds and hearts is to keep talking to them and be respectful and logical while doing so.

Obama has been talking to republicans for 3 years and their response has been criminal obstructionism. These are evil men who committed treason yesterday by killing 2 million jobs. What do you do with treasonous republicans who kill jobs?

I agree so much. Already people are starting to ask, "Is this the Liberal answer to the Tea Party?" The worse thing that could happen would be if Occupy Wall Street got branded as a liberal or Democrat or "progressive" movement. As soon as you make it partisan, you have lost half of America. If the movement is going to get action, it needs to take both parties to task and be a forum for any people of any political persuasion to speak their outrage against corruption. That's why I started writing a blog on these issues at the same time the Occupy Wall Street movement was starting ... only I didn't know anything about the movement at the time.
