Forum Post: Are Government loan guarentees the same as giving away "free money" to big business?

For those of you who aren't aware of it there are quite a few "government loans" that were given out in the name of "green energy" and as a result with the exception of very few companies all others have failed.
Here is a list taken off the Department of Energy Website. Do you think it's right for our government to give all this money away and in return get nothing for it?

but the billions in free 'subsidy' not loan.. not to be repayed' money given to oil companies is ok?
No i dont they shouldn't be taking tax payers money and pointing into risky loans
