This content is user submitted and not an official statement

The whole so called party should be under investigation for Unamerican activities.

It's not like this is the first time.

In Florida no less.

"Once called the future of the GOP, Latino outreach director Pablo Pantoja tells Salon how intolerance made him bolt "

These aren’t just gaffes out there that are made by some elected Republican calling people “wetbacks” and such. These are core issues of intolerance that are part of that culture. For example, how does it make sense to drug-test people because they are taking welfare benefits? Some may argue that it’s OK because they want to make sure the money is not going to fraud, but I’m starting to think that’s not the case.

Yep.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

And it's purposeful and protracted.

Even today's unprecedented hub bub.

Built on lies, as if the truth wasn't bad enough.

There is no truth at all remaining on the right.

Here's the REAL scandal.

Apparently not.

As long as they're good guys, I don't mind them switching sides.

[-] -1 points by Narley (272) 11 years ago

Yep, don’t forget that about half the population is conservative; and a lot of them extreme right. We may ridicule them, but they are still a force to be reckoned with. Don’t get too cocky about one person changing.

[Removed]

[-] -1 points by Narley (272) 11 years ago

You may be right about "if the facts are known, but I still think approximately half the voting age populace is split almost down the middle, conservative and liberal. I don't have any links, I just look at the voting numbers.

Generally I think white people are conservative. Probably a good thing so many don't vote. Also blacl and hispanic lean liberal. Race or ethnic background is playing a bigger and bigger role in electioon and politics. I just don't know if that's good or bad.

[-] 0 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Yep, don’t forget that about half the population is conservative

That really has nothing to do with the Republican party as it is essentially the corpoRATist party.

Why do you think so many are leaving the party? It does not represent them.

[-] 0 points by Narley (272) 11 years ago

Sure it does. Conservative vote republician or libertarian.

[-] 0 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Conservative vote republician or libertarian.

U are out of touch.

Why do you think so many are leaving the party? It does not represent them.

[-] 0 points by Narley (272) 11 years ago

You’re looking at the world with rose colored glasses. Conservatives aren’t leaving the party. If anything, for every moderate who leaves the party, two become more radical conservative. Don’t write these guys off yet. They are still electable and a political force to be dealt with. Don’t underestimate them.

[-] 0 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Never underestimate - not your opponent - not good - not evil.

[-] -3 points by Emalm (12) 11 years ago

Uuuh, sorry to tell you that the majority of governors are Republican. You know, the states with the low unemployment rates like N. Dakota and Texas. Don't worry you will always have Chicago and its low murder rates.

[-] 0 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

North Dakota - getting fracked to death - wonderful leadership

NOT

Texass has many problems it's messing around with education only one of them.

[-] 0 points by Emalm (12) 11 years ago

Did you really just write "Texass"???? Oooh, how clever of you. Freshman in high school.

All of the unemployed people are doubled over in their chairs laughing.

[-] 0 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Laughter is good for the soul - don't suppose that U would know about that.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Wonder what his thoughts on Rubio are?

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Can't find anything yet, but he doesn't like Heritage.

"Pantoja discusses the Heritage Foundation’s controversial report released last week. As the New York Times points out, the Foundation’s report claimed the immigration reform bill would cost American taxpayers $6.3 trillion while also making the claim that Hispanics had a lower IQ than other racial groups. Pantoja cites the research as saying, “No one knows whether Hispanics will ever reach IQ parity with whites, but the prediction that new Hispanic immigrants will have low-IQ children and grandchildren is difficult to argue against.” The report’s authors soon resigned following the controversy."

Heritage Foundation’s controversial report

The bastards.

Who would've guessed?

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

With Demint in charge they are certainly heading into the loony toon spectrum of the Beck 'o' meter.

[-] 0 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Very good sign that that is Fact. Just look at the Insanity of wallstreet.

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

No one wants to talk about WallStreet these days.

I've tried, they drop like rocks.

I like that OWS posted a thread on Skilling, though it too is being ignored for the most part, except for a few of us.

[-] -1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Surprise!!!

NOT

Because that would bring the Greedy bastards back into the focus.

AS - GREED THE #1 CAUSE OF DISEASE/DEATH/DESTRUCTION IN THE WORLD.

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Can't have that.

Bullshit threads about other posters and non issues are much more important.

[-] 0 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Absolutely what the shills live for - Being relevant. aAHahahahahaaa

[-] 1 points by inclusionman (7064) 11 years ago

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Gosh, where's all the bigot defenders?

Too busy with bullshit to notice???

[-] 0 points by highlander21 (-46) 11 years ago

Good, time to purify the party; to bring some distinction between the two sides.

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

And what are these two sides, pray tell?

And which one are you on?

[-] 0 points by highlander21 (-46) 11 years ago

Ultimately, personal responsibility and liberty vs government control and individual debasement. That is, needless to say, extremely, extremely simplistic. As for which side I am on, well, I guess I am on the side of the bigots.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

You're a bigot??

Admitted?

Who could have guessed?

So what pray tell, does a bigot hope to accomplish in a forum like this?

[-] -2 points by highlander21 (-46) 11 years ago

I am speaking in your terms, using your premises. I am against amnesty for the illegal immigrants. I do not believe in ANY special treatment for any minority or gender or group. In some circles, that would be called a level playing field where everyone has an equal chance and no group is perceived as inferior (why else would they need special status?) However, in this circle, it would be defined as bigotry, so yeah, why not. Why am I on this site? I want to learn what currents of thought are flowing out there. And I want the select group here to know that there are people who do not agree with everything you say and hope that maybe one or more on this forum can be swayed.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

" I guess I am on the side of the bigots"

That's all anyone needs to know and your statement above proves it out..

It has nothing to do with my "terms".

[-] -1 points by OTP (-203) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

If you think that is what either one of these parties is about, you are insane.

[-] -1 points by itsmyblood (10) 11 years ago

who cares the demoncrats are just as bad. this is useless nonsense. meanwhile the fucking government is spying on the press and our republic is on the verge of collapse but hey read my partisan bullshit right here. fucking hack bullshit.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Show me the party forcing teachers to teach creationism.

Show me the party most active in voter suppression.

Show me the party setting records for stonewalling behaviors.

Show me the party usurping duly elected officials.

Show me the party most active in union busting activities.

Show me the first party to give itself a free pass on spying.

[-] 0 points by itsmyblood (10) 11 years ago

you are blind they both do it. or one allows the other.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Show me then.

It should be a very simple and easy thing for you to do.

Only six little things, easy peasy, summer breezy.

Just show me.

[-] -1 points by OTP (-203) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

Ill show you two parties forcing teachers to teach TOTAL BULLSHIT Two that have suppressed the vote of felons and other options Two that are removing people whom dont agree with them Two that are shipping all the union jobs overseas Two that are into war Two that are into Wall St Two that take money from ALEC corporations Two that are into money in politics

You are a blinded by your love of Democrats.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

You are one of the first that couldn't prove it......LOL

You still haven't. But that NEVER stops your bullshit.

It's just rinse, lather, repeat.

Plus of course, the added attempts at insult.

How's things at prisonplanet these days?

Hey look!!!!!

Wonderful corruption.

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2013/05/14/1209081/-Florida-lawmakers-who-rejected-Medicaid-have-really-sweet-health-insurance-deal

You know, that stuff you give token comments on, if you comment at all.

[-] -2 points by OTP (-203) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

You have no right to harrass anyone in occupy because you never occupied anything.

Thats all that needs to be said.

Have a nice life.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Awwww.

Another attempt at insult that doesn't deal with the issue at hand.

In fact.....not a word about any of it.

It's getting harder to have a nice life, with folks like you claiming to be rebels and then stating.....

"tax levels are fine"

And then ignoing what your own legislators are "right" in front of you.

What's the problem?

Alex Jones doesn't mention this kind of thing/

[-] -1 points by OTP (-203) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

Try getting out of your house and doing something if you are going to talk so much shit.

Stop being such a hypocrite. You should be welcoming everyone and all who want to help turn this thing around.

That post I put up on Monsanto shows how you can help.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

You know.

That reminds me.

We had a HUGE discussion on Monsanto the other day and you didn't offer a single comment.

In a thread started by one of those right wingers, you claim not to see around here.

Not 'a' one.

So you start some other thread to distract from it?

YEP.

You do that a lot.

You've done it with ALEC too.

You still offer NOTHING about what goes around in your own backyard, in spite of the FACT that I've given you plenty of fodder.

Nope not you.

You return to your usual character assassination attempts.

The truth is, you won't turn a single thing around, if you can't see what happens in front of your face.

[-] -1 points by OTP (-203) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

Good to see he dropped them. What took him so long is beyond me.

One group of politicians thats pretty much openly racist, and another group that exploits them to no end and simply throws money at the problem.

Neither one of em giving one fuckin shit about what happens in the hood.

How anyone backs Republicans or Democrats is beyond me.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

I see that playing nice thing has come to end, with another agendized comment that has little to do with the OP......

Should I post some more links to events in Florida?

You know some of the things you ignore.

Like strawberry farms creating sink holes, that no one holds them responsible for?

Or the schools to prison program for minorities, that's SO popular there?

[-] -1 points by OTP (-203) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

The water problems in this state go way beyond just strawberry farms. The fact that people in this country find it neccesary to water their lawns 5 times a week for the simple fact of societal approval is more along the lines of what is going on.

Go into any city, the school to prison program is everywhere. Drop out, go to jail. Hence my comment.

You live in Detroit. You should realize this. Detroit, Tampa, Houston, Rochester, etc etc etc .... you may see a slight pattern if you do a cross country trip. Again, hence my post.

But back to the topic of " how intolerance made him bolt".

Im agreeing with you on your take that the entire Republican Party should be under investigation. I would take it one step further and jus disband them.

The only difference is that I include the entire paradigm in my thoughts, not just one side of it.

If you think for ONE INSTANCE that this entire system isnt horribly racist, .... come on. Really?

Why are agenda top posts ok, but someone who responds by agreeing with it and elaborating on it isnt? And why do you take everything so personal?

Occupy Everything.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

http://colorlines.com/archives/2013/02/in_2012_florida_arrested_12000_students_in_school--and_that_was_an_improvement.html

Most of the truly dedicated bigotry is in the (R)epelican't/libe(R)tarian party.

Finding more evidence is not difficult.

Just like finding evidence of who/what is behind it.

Easy.

Except that you stick up for these guys.

http://www.prwatch.org/news/2012/07/11675/new-report-shows-alecs-unprecedented-influence-over-florida

So perhaps you should try occupying everything.

Start by accepting the truth of what's happening in your own back yard.

http://www.pressherald.com/news/nationworld/in-florida-sinkholes-are-in-season_2013-03-06.html

In your backyard.

http://www.tampabay.com/news/environment/water/during-record-cold-farmers-used-1-billion-gallons-of-water-daily-causing/1068208

Where's all that personal responsibility the libe(R)taians tout on this issue?
