Some of the biggest religious issues are what to do about: Murder, abortion, adultery, theft, punishment, bearing false witness and guess what? Governments have laws about these things. Hence govt MUST BE religious. The only way a govt can truly be "secular" is if each village were to have its own laws about these religious things and the Federal Govt stays away from these issues. But that ain't gonna happen anytime soon.

Unfortunate is it may be, govts, and us, must decide on some religious issues. One area govt can stay away from, is the explanation and belief of Gd, or idolatry, or whatever people believe, this part can remain private and stay out of govt.

But the other issues, are clearly public religious issues govt must deal with.

you are missing the point. All govts today have laws. The most important of these laws are also the most important of religious laws. "theocracy" is unavoidable and not a choice. I am just merely pointing out the obvious. I am not suggesting anyone take out a Koran or Bible and start making govt laws from those books, I am just merely pointing out, that the US govt has religious laws, the French govt has religious laws, and so does China and every other govt, because both govt and religions deal with the same exact laws.

It's mathematically unavoidable that SOME religious issues MUST be part of govt law.

The version you quoted of "theocray" is not a good form of govt. And no one here, or very few people, think that "gd himself is recognized as the head" - that's ridiculous. Gd has given the state to man.

Jadedcitizen - tell me this - how can a govt be reasonably called secular or non-religious, if its most important laws deal with the same issues as the most important religious laws?

That's the new piece of information for you. You can accept it or reject it -that's up to you. But truth is hard to put back in the bottle.

Theocracy is a form of organization in which the official policy is to be governed by immediate divine guidance or by officials who are regarded as divinely guided, or simply pursuant to the doctrine of a particular religious sect or religion.

From the perspective of the theocratic government, "God himself is recognized as the head" of the state

Example - you believe in idolatry - good for you! But keep it to yourself. This is one of the areas that does not belong in govt or occupy. Most people realize that people are not Gds, but not everyone understands this, they believe in stories their moms told them.

Everything was created by God and is therefore submitted to God and since He send Jesus Christ to be King of King they are submitted to Jesus Christ. However as Psalm 2 says they want to get rid of this. And as it seems they are pretty successful in doing so.
