People should be looking at the organization called ALEC. Look them up!!!! Lets bring them to the spot light and expose them.
Knowledge of their malfeasance is growing.

Thank you for this information, I had never heard of ALEC. It’s very important information, but I’m not shocked, and have to wonder if it’s any more pernicious than outfits like the American Enterprise Institute or The U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Both of the later organizations are chocked full of former (And I suspect present.) U.S. policy makers with direct channels to elected and appointed officials.
It is more pernicious in that they draft legislation directly, and stay mostly hidden from view. They also have their tentacles in state government and in drafting misleading referenda across the country.
I have little doubt they do great harm. But is it much worse than Dick Cheney asking his wife Lynne what the American Enterprise Institute wanted them to do next?
Well, yes, but in one way only. Dick Cheney is gone. All administrations are temporary. But this organization works across all administrations, every sitting congress, and almost every single state. Even the American Enterprise Institute is small fry in comparison. (Though they are hardly independent of one another.)

ALEC was already in the spotlight in the past year.
American citizens have the memory of pond slime -- apologies to pond slime.
ALEC is only the problem if our elected representatives march in lock-step to the tune of ALEC and its draft legislation.
ALEC is a problem.
But the real problem is our elected representatives who take ALEC's draft legislation and submit it for vote without any transparency or public scrutiny.
