Taxpayer-subsidized stealth lobbyists: Lobbyists who circumvent normal lobbying regulations and procedures to advance the corporate agenda in statehouses nationwide on the taxpayer dime.

The size of the wealth of the those at the top is such that states are just the right size for them to play against each other, in time no nation will be able to stand up to the power these fortunes repersent,
The GOP push for more state governance because it is easier to buy.

The total number of Democratic legislators is unknown, but according to the PCCC, there are 26 states with Democratic lawmakers that belong to ALEC.
