Absolutely. "People" - take advantage of social media. Others can see what you send - not just the recipient. So when you advise government - your advice is seen by others - others that very well may agree with you and 2nd your advice - anyway the more communications government receives the better - adds pressure to act - gets more people involved and aware of what their elected officials are doing and not doing. Anyway social media spreads education.
