Forum Post: A real way to cause change!

If they wanted to really change things all they need to do is get one law passed and political power would shift more towards the people and not corporations.... All political contributions must come from private citizens and not a corporation AND those can only go to a politician running in a race in which they are registered to vote. That would remove ALL special interest groups and give the American People a true voice.
My personal favorite is that we have allowed them to have the power to vote for their own pay raises and to never have to work again once they have been elected. I wonder how my boss would react if i tried that?
I would say eliminate all contributions. allow for individual and they'll figure out a way to circumvent that system. I say no money. I don't even get how it's legal in the first place. Giving a politician money? That's bribery! And associating this act with freedom of speech?
Maybe the next time I get pulled over, I'll exercise my 1st amendment right and slip the officer a $20. See what happens, or the judge after that. It's ridiculous.

Thanks! It just seems that a lot of people are focused on the problem of to much corporate influence in government but not as many solutions. Everyone knows that big business has more of a voice in DC than the common man, but it is going to take a major shift to change that. The problem is that my idea will piss off both sides of the isle, because everyone "says" they want a level playing field but no one actually does. The prefer the idea that "every one is equal, but some are just more equal"!
