UPDATE: One New York cop slashed and another taken to a hospital with an eye injury as police arrest more than 100 'Occupy Wall Street' protesters in a march through Manhattan's Financial District.

A New York City police officer was slashed during Thursday's "Occupy Wall Street" action-- and a second cop was taken to a local hospital with an eye injury-- after clashes between protesters and activists across lower Manhattan, sources told FoxNews.com. Both officers are said to be in stable condition, although the incident marked an escalation of tension in the uneasy give-and-take between NYPD officers charged with maintaining order, and protesters determined to be heard.

shame. looks like OWS is on it's way to learning what tear gas is.

don't be afraid. just makes snot run all down your clothes and your eyes tear up. not much different than many protesters we see already on the videos.

This is a disgrace.. and I'm ashamed to consider people who would do this "Fellow Americans". If you have a real protest, do it intelligently and peacefully.... and bring in voices who actually have an understanding of the economy.

I think it's time for the police to remove everyone now.

OWS will claim it is not them, but a fringe group or that the cops did it to themselves..wait for it....wait for it....
