For those who don't know much about the OTPOR! movement, a movement in Serbia to overthrow the government of Slobodan Milosevic, here is a little blurb:

"Rather than focusing on large-scale demonstrations or organizing a political party, Otpor began with creative street theatre—public protests that mocked Milosevic and focused on shifting the political culture of the nation toward opposition to his regime and empowering people to see its vulnerability and overcome their fear of sanctions."

Quoted from: http://www.nonviolent-conflict.org/index.php/movements-and-campaigns/movements-and-campaigns-summaries?sobi2Task=sobi2Details&sobi2Id=16

I propose that the Occupy Movement begin working with this idea of Educative Theatre. For the OTPOR movement, it was an essential reason as to why the public began to "wake up," and join in support.

Alienation is most assuredly occurring among many of the 99% with regard to traffic stopping.

Why not give these people something really concrete to think about?

Educative Theatre could be a clear way for Occupiers to relay factual, satirical, and awakening information to the public. Public support is essential for this movement to continue.

Just a thought...

True motivation, however the tactic still could help this movement become more engaged with an alienated audience.
