Since the famous shoe-throwing incident against George W. Bush by an Iraqi journalist, the shoe has received worldwide attention as a potent symbol of PROTEST against the corruption of the Powers that be.

Andy Kroll tells of a protestor he saw in Madison, Wisconsin in February of this year, "hoisted aloft a "No Union Busting!" sign with a black shoe perched atop it, the heel facing forward -- a severe sign of disrespect that Egyptian protesters directed at Mubarak".

Wouldn't you love to see a HUGE SCULPTURE erected somewhere in Washington, D.C., made only of old shoes, as a symbol of our COLLECTIVE INDIGNATION against the corruption of the system?

Well, that would say it all. I think the shoe should be place on Capitol Hill. You know with a 91% disapproval rating they deserve it. Then again maybe a huge sculpture of a boot raised up in kicking position would be more appropriate for them. Boot the bums out!!! We need new blood in D.C.

Down with Crony politics and with bought out politicians. Time for change.

YES! Perhaps a HUGE SHOE made of millions of old shoes donated by Americans sympathetic to the Occupy Movement.

Any artists out there?

I think this would qualify as a great "conceptual art" project.

That would be a good idea. Thanks for sharing.
