The United States of America Senate Oath of Office
I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.

The Grover Norquist Americans for Tax Reform Pledge:
I, , pledge to the taxpayers of the state of _ and to the American people that I will:
ONE, oppose any and all efforts to increase the marginal income tax rate for individuals and business; and TWO, oppose any net reduction or elimination of deductions and credits, unless matched dollar for dollar by further reducing tax rates.

So what does a senator do when their Oath to the Constitution of the United States, and America, and the American people conflict with their Oath to Grover Norquist ?

Would any American be crazy enough to vote for someone who swears to obey both?

What if the second pledge was not written by grover, but by another country?
How can any sane American think a dual-oath representative will always do what is best for America?
For example, if country X launched an invasion of 500,000 men into California, how could we pay to protect America without raising taxes?
Or what if a tidal wave hits NYC and we need $100,000,000,000 to rebuild, how will we pay for it?

Vomit and excrement are different. Each has a unique aroma. But I wouldn't want to dine on either.

Hmmm. The Republican cafe or the Democratic diner? Think I'll go over to the independent grille and get a burger instead.

Partisan posts really aren't "people" posts, are they?

Partisan posts are like racist posts. Instead of between black and white, they are between red and blue.
