The Iowalians were the first to endorse Obama!?! Now they can‘t see the reality that it’s the Republican Despots Boehner, Kantor, and McConnell who are blocking the President from getting anything done by taking the Unemployed and the Senior Citizens as financial hostages while threatening to shut the government down. I think it time U.S. Corporations started paying their Taxes instead of their Legislators, Lobbyists and Lawyers.

Des Moines needs to do their homework. The NDAA only authorizes the detention of American Citizens involved with the Taliban or al-queda. It has been in place since 9/11. http://www.politicususa.com/en/setting-the-record-straight-the-changed-language-in-the-ndaa and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Defense_Authorization_Act_for_Fiscal_Year_2012

I think alot of OWS groups were set up by propaganda against the re-authorization of a law that has been in force since 9/11 that may be even more important now that the troops are coming home from Iraq and there will be less stability in the Arab world. We have Somali and other naturalized U.S. citizens who have been supporting Taliban and al-queda activites by wiring money and leaving the U.S. to participate in terrorist activities over seas. Unless you are involved in Taliban or al-queda activities the NDAA does not apply to you.

Furthermore, President Obama did not approve the construction of the Keystone Pipeline, but rather more review of the specifics regarding the pipeline.

President Obama had many successes in Office BEFORE Republicans Boehner, Kantor, and McConnell gained control of the House of Representatives. and The Republicans in the Senate continued to use the 60 vote Filibuster rule to block all Legislation.

When you do finally get your free money from the government Pell Grant, take a Political Science course or two, why don cha?

Respectfully, but you are wrong on NDAA and I will trust the analysis of the ACLU and other legal scholars over yours. And beyond that because the American people have accepted the evil of indefinite detention in the past does not make it any less morally wrong.

And yes, the Omnibus spending bill does provide the way forward for Keystone, after the people of this country had stopped it. And originally Obama said he would veto it with those provisions, but he caved.

I have had several pol sci classes thank you, which is why I understand that Obama and the rest of the politicians are puppets of their corporate masters.

Obama's pushing indefinite detention to be put into law.

I think the wording of the act is far too broad to protect American citizens. The act leaves "associated forces" as a nearly undefined term other than it follows the mention of terrorist groups.

Obama is just as guilty as the Republicans.

This statement has been released by the people occupying:

President Obama has proven again and again he is not concerned about the 99%. Just this week there are three examples of that.

He has agreed that instead of a millionaires tax, he will support an extension of the payroll tax holiday by taking Pell Grants away from 100,000 students.

He has agreed not to veto the National Defense Authorization Act, which is the single greatest attack on civil liberties since the internment with out trial or due process of Japanese-Americans during World War 2.

After thousands of people finally won the battle against the Keystone Pipeline, he has agreed that he will not veto the Omnibus spending bill which backdoors that project back to life.

Where is the Hope and Change you promised on the campaign trail, when you said you would oppose things like indefinite detentions. Right now you look like just another charlatan politician trying to sell the patent medicine of the 1%. Trying to convince the 99% that the patent medicine of supply side economics and trickle down economics will work. It is time for you to either step down as President or step up and start working for the people, the 99%.

You tell me how this psuedo president is any better that Boener, Kantor, or McConnell.
