This is not a right either. It's an obligation.

When you believe and act on that statement it would. By that statement I meant "A college education is a right"

Correct. One of my mother's closest friends is worth millions of dollars and he works with metal and no college degree.

You're right, it is not something people are entitled to which is why many people all across the country worked really hard and continue to work hard to obtain one. A college education requires a sustained effort over the course of 8-10 years starting in High School and ending upon receiving the degree.

It's not a right it's an option, and it is an option that everyone should have available to them.

I agree with that

College is not for everyone just like owning a home is not for everyone.

You are 100% correct

Of course a college education is not a right - it is an obligation - one this generation bears to the next - to pass on what we have learned about ourselves and the world around us.

It has been thus since humanity first rose up on two legs.

It is so today.

That we bind the youth in servitude to meet our own obligation is a measure of just how badly fucked our vision - of our selves, our society and our role in it - has become.
