I found great inspiration while I watched the following video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jYyttEu_NLU&feature=player_embedded#!

I was in awe, not only by the words of this epic composition, but the relevance it has today.

I couldn't help but imagine hundreds of thousands of people across the world speaking these words in defiance of the 1%.

I encourage the leadership of the Occupy Movement to pass out copies of the Declaration of Independence to all attendees for it to be spoken as an opening prayer for each day of protest. I can feel the power now!

Then you may also be interested in the Suffolk Resolves of 1774 and it's OWS99% equivalent, the 99% Declaration

Thomas Jefferson's Declaration of Independence is excellent verse that has flow and measure, and gains power as you read it. Not that what you're suggesting doesn't have power, just not the ear.
