This insinuates that 99% of people agree with your message, I would have to disagree with this. This movement does not represent 99% of the people in this country. I know lots of people that are well below the top 1% and they do not agree with your message. I think it should be called we are the bottom 10-15%...
"we are all in the bottom 99%" - No we are not all the bottom 99%, this is how you take it. 99% does not constitute 100% (all), you statement would be accurate with "most" but not "all".
I refuse to label myself as the bottom 99%, it is a state of mind that will keep you in the bottom 99% with no hope of being excellent. Mediocrity is not something I want for myself or my family.
"This insinuates that 99% of people agree with your message" - No it doesnt that is how you take it. What it actually means is we are all in the bottom 99%.
I agree.
To meep: In your reply defending that it's not about 99% agreeing with you. You make it a point in the very same comment that this movement is about empowering the 99% who feel are not fairly represented. You can't have it both ways... 99% of people do NOT feel the way you do.
It's not that all 99% agree with us, it's more about pointing out the huge disparity that exists between the lower 99% and higher 1% in terms of income and owned wealth. The income disparity in our country is growing and worsening. This movement is about empowering the 99% who we feel are not fairly represented in politics or the media. That is the primary concern. Does that make more sense?
