Forum Post: 99%-ers

This content is user submitted and not an official statement

Like all labels, this 1% versus 99% is a huge misnomer. At minimum it attempts to say that all the 99%-ers are one group and now share this adversarial relationship with the 1%.

When the Tea Party arose I saw so much posting about "true patriots" that I just had to ask "what is a true patriot?" and never got a definition that would stand.

We are NOT a "united" country and never have been. The reference to "melting pot" is so misleading - a melting pot is where everything is blended into one. We're not - we're an agglomerate, where we're all mashed together but you can still identify the individual pieces.

I see nothing new with OWS that hasn't been said/stated by many organizations over the past few years, and there's a lot of them - No Labels, The Coffee Party, Upward Spiral to name just a few. Only one of them (that I know of), Americans Elect is actually doing something to attempt to change the system. OWS is a protest group, and admirable that they've camped out this long. It won't be long until either they come together as yet another group, establish a non-profit corporation, etc. etc., or they'll just go home and vanish into the background.

It would be great if all these groups would get together to create a true revolution. It's amazing how many of them have the same agenda. Plus most of them don't even know that what they are protesting and promoting today has been done by, for example, Ralph Nader for more years than most of us have been living. The problems are somewhat accurately defined by all...the proposed solutions are few and far between.

True, we are not "united", and Although I'm all in favor of taking down today's ineffective and inefficient Top 10% Management Group of Business & Government, there's only one way to do it – by fighting bankers as bankers ourselves. Consequently, I have posted 1-page Summary of the Strategic Legal Policies, Organizational Operating Structures, and Tactical Investment Procedures necessary to do this at:

this is your revolution. this is real. and this is what needs to happen. Wall st, government, congress and Obama are part of the 99%. these people need to get that through their heads. www.radiokazoo.net/OPV

A revolution is action. A protest is shouting. This is a protest, not a revolution (or not yet, anyway). Everyone knows what "needs to happen" including those within the system.

"The system is broken and dysfunctional...and everyone knows that." ~ Senator Tom Udall, USA Today 9/29/2011

so tell me, how do you see "what needs to happen" actually happening?
