As media and politicians ask what OWS wants and claim there is no single focus, I suggest that participants create a list along the lines of Martin Luther's 95 Theses which could be posted far and wide. My Five Theses: Corporations are not people. Money is not speech. Health care is a right. Health insurance is not health care. The Senate has a constitutional duty to debate the President's proposals and nominees. Yeah, Martin Luther was not an all around great guy, but he did strike a blow at the ruling powers of the day.
Agreed, these are excellent demands, but we also need to take tangible actions ourselves to achieve these demands, right? Martin Luther was a great hero at the time of the 95 theses, it's only later in life that he became intolerant and violent. The reason : apparently he secretly hated himself.
