Forum Post: 5 ways to Stop the 1% from Economically Plundering the World

This content is user submitted and not an official statement

1) Shop at local farmers' markets, food co-ops and local grocers

Stop buying Tyson chicken. Stop buying Monsanto-engineered GMO foods at the grocery store. Stop giving your money to food industry globalists such as ADM, Cargill and PepsiCo.....

2) Pull your money out of the big banks and put it in local credit unions

When you deposit $1,000 in a globalist bank, they can turn around and, through a series of fractional reserve banking transactions, turn that into $20,000 in loans that earn them interest. Inversely, by pulling $1,000 out of a globalist bank (JPMorgan Chase, Citibank, Bank of America, etc.), you deny them the ability to make $20,000 in loans, thus shrinking their profits by a significant factor.....

3) Stop working for The Man as a wage slave

.....if you want to stop working for The Man, you are going to have to downsize your material wealth and instead be content to possess spiritual wealth (and ethical currency, so to speak). Yes, you might live in a smaller house and drive a smaller car, but you won't have to sell out your soul to an evil system of tyranny and oppression.....

4) Trade soon-to-be-useless paper currency for real goods

Are you still sitting on a bunch of paper currency and hoping it will somehow be worth the same amount in five years? Stop kidding yourself..... By the time all the European and other banks are bailed out, if you're still left holding hyper-inflated currencies like the U.S. dollar, you're going to be lucky to still own 10 cents on the dollar in terms of today's purchasing power. That's why smart people are exchanging their soon-to-be-worthless currencies for real things that hold real value: Dirt (farmland), gold, silver, stored food, water, hand tools, tractors and much more.

5) Stop voting for politicians funded by Wall Street bankers

This is perhaps the most important -- and yet most difficult -- principle of all: Stop voting for politicians and bureaucrats who are propped up by banker money. It's almost impossible to do, of course, since nearly all the politicians -- across the political spectrum -- take big money from the big banking cartels. Obama himself is deeply in bed with Wall Street interests, but so was Bush and others.

Herman Cain, who thankfully dropped out of the Republican race just a couple of days ago, was a Federal Reserve insider. You couldn't pick a more compromised candidate to try to fix the economy when he's part of the very system of theft that's destroying it!

The only real candidate who would challenge the economic plunder of our world is, of course, Ron Paul who has stood firm on the principle of auditing the Fed and even ending the Fed so that the money supply of America can be put back into the hands of the Congress (i.e. the People)

Do these five things now if you want to help save your nation from total economic destruction

Ron Lawl is a heretic.

The other candidates:

  • Murder hundreds of thousands of innocent foreigners overseas with one war after another.

I'll stick with the anti-war candidate.

BTW his list of contributors is WRONG. He doesn't accept donations from corporations, but instead does "money bombs" to collect money directly from the People that he will represent. Ron Paul is not a corporate lackey.

Dream on, he'd never do it. He didn't even put it on his web site issues page.

Ron Paul has been saying for 10+ years that the overseas warfare needs to end.

AND YES it is on his issues page: "Make securing our borders the top national security priority. Avoid long and expensive land wars that bankrupt our country."

"Avoid long and expensive lands wars" is not END WARS NOW.

You really need to work on your reading and comprehension skills.

No. He wants to eliminate our government. He is an anarchist. No thanks. He'd leave you to die on the street.

All of #4 is valueless unless you have an Army. So what if you own a bunch of land and gold. Gold survives if someone torches your house in an attempt to kill and steal from you. Would not want to be known to have gold. 1-3 was especially good though.

Excellent ideas - I'm already working on the first two and have really grown to love the local farmer's market.

Here's my 2 cents:

There are a lot of improvements that need to be made. The list reforms people Americans want to see is long and varied depending on who you talk to. That said, I believe there is one reform that would provide the American people the best chances of seeing other meaningful reforms actually happen - that is REAL, loop-hope free CAMPAIGN FINANCE REFORM! I have seen others on this site calling this the "fulcrum" or pivotal issue. Right now the current legalized bribery, pay-to-play system of campaign donations and paid lobbyists has disenfranchised the American voter. Until this is fixed, any other reform the politicians may try to placate us with (be it a change to healthcare, clamping down predatory school loans, new financial regulations, etc.) will be about as effective as a farmer putting a new roof on his CHICKEN COOP, but still letting the FOX guard it.

We need to go back to the original political currency. Instead of the current system of who can collect the most money from corporations and special interests it should be who has the BEST IDEAS to EFFECTIVELY RUN THE COUNTRY (we don't need "Wealth Redistribution," what we need is "Political Influence Redistribution")!

For the sake our our children and future generations of Americans, we need to take back our democracy from the rich and powerful who are using their vast sums of money to "speak" as if they represent millions of Americans. This "Corporate Personhood" that has crept into our laws is allowing them to manipulating our policies in their favor at the expense of the average American (the recent "Citizens United" Supreme Court ruling is a miscarriage of justice and must be reversed. The $50 or $100 a normal American may give to a political campaign becomes meaningless when corporations or other special interests are handing our millions to buy political access to the decision making process.

For decades now the corporations and special interests have had our "representatives" bought and paid for (both on the right and the left). Concentrating our efforts on getting the money out of our politics is the best way we can create an environment in which further reforms can be realized. Until we end the current system of legalized bribery (campaign donations) and paid lobbying our politicians will continue to be the LAP DOGS of the corporations and special interests. What we need first and foremost is real, loop-hole free CAMPAIGN FINANCE REFORM!!!! If the corruption is not dealt with first, the chance of any other meaningful reforms becoming a reality is almost zero - the special interests will just use their money to buy votes and put forward bills that create loop-holes or otherwise twist the law in their favor. If we want our children to live in a country where there vote matters, we need to get the money out of our politics, otherwise they will increasingly become the 21st century version of the "landless peasant." Spread the word - End the LEGALIZED BRIBERY!!! CAMPAIGN FINANCE REFORM needs to be THE main goal of the protests!!!
