A gunman opened fire on firefighters responding to a blaze at a house in a Rochester suburb early Monday, killing two firefighters and injured two others.
Webster, N.Y., police Chief Gerald Pickering said "one or more shooters" fired at the firefighters when they arrived around 5:45 a.m. ET at the scene near the shore of Lake Ontario in western New York state.
Let the madness reign!
I just read about that. That's crazy. Can't wait for the NRA response.
we are reaching a new level of insanity.
is this really new? or did someone simply turn up the volume . . .

I had a roommate named Webster . . .
No doubt.
NRA's response may well be: federally funded armed guards and bullet-proof vests and helmets for the firefighters. Hmm. Concentrated sulfuric acid can add quite a bite to a water cannon, too. A tear-gas launcher can clear the scene for firefighting (no pun-intended).
exactly.
